HOW TO JOIN
Four steps, one free app. The Modrinth App sets up Minecraft, Fabric and every mod for you.
WHAT YOU NEED
Minecraft: Java Edition on a PC or Mac. The network does not run on Bedrock, consoles or phones. Everything else comes with our modpack, Dynasty Cobblemon.
GET THE MODRINTH APP
Download the free Modrinth App and install it. Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition. The app installs Java, Minecraft 1.21.1 and Fabric for you.
SEARCH FOR THE MODPACK
In the app, open Discover content (the compass icon on the left) and pick the Modpacks tab. Type Dynasty Cobblemon in the search bar. Our pack is the one for Fabric 1.21.1.
INSTALL THE PROFILE
Press Install. The app makes a new profile called Dynasty Cobblemon and downloads every mod in it. The first install takes a few minutes. You can also press Install on our Modrinth page and it opens in the app.
PLAY
Open the profile from your Library and press Play. Go to Multiplayer. DynastyMC is already on your server list. Join, let the server resource pack download, and you arrive in Nexus.
GOOD TO KNOW
Keep it up to date. When we release a new version, the app shows an update on the Dynasty Cobblemon profile. Take it before you play. The server can refuse an old pack at join.
Give it memory. Cobblemon needs more than the default. In the profile settings, open Java and memory and set 6 GB or more. Use 8 GB if your PC has 16 GB or more.
Only use our pack. The official pack is Dynasty Cobblemon on Modrinth, at the link above. A pack from anywhere else will not match the server.
SERVER ADDRESS
It is already on the modpack's server list. Add it by hand only if you removed it.
PROBLEMS? FIND THE MESSAGE YOU SEE
“Network Protocol Error”
Your game does not have our mods. Install the Dynasty Cobblemon modpack with the steps above, then join from that profile. Fabric alone is not enough.
“Received ... registry entries that are unknown to this client”
Your mods do not match the server. New here? Install the Dynasty Cobblemon modpack. Have it already? Open the profile in the Modrinth App and take the update.
“Your last try to join DynastyMC stopped while it loaded”
The same problem as the two above. Install or update the modpack, then join again.
“Incompatible client! Please use 1.21.1 / DynastyMC runs Minecraft Java 1.21.1”
Your game is another Minecraft version. The modpack uses 1.21.1 for you, so play from the Dynasty Cobblemon profile.
“DynastyMC needs the Dynasty Cobblemon modpack”
Lunar, Feather, Badlion and plain Minecraft cannot join. Use the Modrinth App and our modpack.
“Please wait ... seconds before reconnecting”
You joined again too fast. Wait 5 seconds and try again.
“Couldn't apply server resourcepack”
The server resource pack did not download. Leave and join again once.
